In Vivo Control of Differentiation of Myeloid Leukemic Cells by Cyclosporine A and Recombinant Interleukin-la
نویسنده
چکیده
There are different types of hematopoietic regulatory proteins that regulate the multiplication and differentiation of normal myeloid cells. These different types include four growth-inducing proteins called colony-stimulating factors (CSF). including interleukin-3 (11-3). or macrophage and granulocyte inducers. type 1 (MGI-i ); another type (called MGI-2) that induces myeloid differentiation of normal myeloid cells without inducing myeloid cell multiplication; and interleukin-i (IL-i ), which can act on myeloid precursor cells. Different clones of myeloid leukemic cells can differ in their ability to be induced to undergo terminal cell differentiation by different hematopoietic regulatory proteins. We have now studied the ability of cyclosporine A and recombinant IL-i a to regulate in vivo differentiation of different clones of myeloid leukemic cells that are either

The normal myeloid hematopoietic regulatory proteins include one class of proteins that induces viability and multiplication of normal myeloid precursor cells to form colonies (colony-stimulating factors [CSF] and interleukin 3 [IL-3], macrophage and granulocyte inducing proteins, type 7 [MGI-1]) and another class (called MGI-2) that induces differentiation of normal myeloid precursors without ...
متن کاملInvestigation of Leptin, Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF), and IL-6 Serum Levels in Myeloid Leukemia
Background: Leptin has been implicated in the differentiation and proliferation of hematopoietic cells. Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) may play an important role, along with Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G- CSF), in the regulation of early hematopoietic stem cells. The aim of the study was to evaluate serum level of leptin, LIF, and IL-6 in myeloid leukemia p...

Introduction: Interleukin-2 (IL-2) as a T helper type 1 (Th1) cytokine has an important role Background and Objective: Interleukin-2 (IL-2) as a T helper type 1 (Th1) cytokine has an important role in activation, growth and differentiation of several immune cells. Moreover IL-2 is known as a pro-inflammatory and anti-tumoral cytokine. In addition deysregulation of IL-2 in some diseases such as ...
متن کاملSynergistic Regulatory Effects of Interleukin 6 and Interleukin 1 on the Growth and Differentiation of Human and Mouse Myeloid Leukemic Cell Lines1
We analyzed the effect of recombinant human ¡nterleukin6 (IL-6), in combination with human recombinant interleukin la (IL-la), on the growth and differentiation of several human and mouse myeloid leukemic cell lines, specifically U937, HL-60, Ml, and its subclone Ml-3b-N, into macrophage-like cells. IL-6 and IL-1 inhibited the growth of U937, Ml, and Ml-3b-N in a dose-dependent manner. Treatme...
